Butler’s Retreat DINE-IN Afternoon Tea
Join us at Butler's Retreat for a delicious Larder afternoon tea. Your afternoon tea will feature a selection of rough-cut sandwiches on artisan breads and a variety of home-made cakes made using all natural ingredients. We offer our freshly-baked scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam. We'll serve our top quality British Brew tea or your preferred speciality tea from our list.
There are no table cloths or fancy stands and we don't believe in dainty finger sandwiches here. If you're looking for a hotel-style 'afternoon tea experience' this might not be for you. We don't offer a menu or choices but if there's something you don't eat or prefer to avoid just mention it in the order notes and we'll take care of it.
Dietary Requirements and Kids
Vegetarian or Halal? We've got you, just let us know in the 'Dietary Requirements' box. Please note we DO NOT offer GF, dairy-free or Vegan afternoon tea. If one of your party has these requirements, they can join the group and order items from our regular menu on the day. Just book for one less person and mention in the order notes that you'd like an additional place at the table.
Ordering for kids? Please add your kids afternoon teas to your basket separately by choosing the Child's Afternoon Tea product. We'll swap our rustic artisan breads for a more child-friendly wholemeal loaf with simple fillings. As for cakes the little ones get exactly the same as you. If you want the children to have the same sandwiches as the adults, please book them as adults.
Important Information
This website is not ideal for dine-in bookings because it was originally built for delivery. You will be offered a choice of collection or delivery so please choose 'collection' to avoid a delivery charge being added. Pick the nearest time slot offered and then let us know your preferred arrival time in the order notes. We can serve any time from 2pm but note that the cafes close at 5pm (4pm in winter season). We suggest you arrive before 3pm (2.30pm winter) so that you have time to enjoy your afternoon tea. By booking this product we will automatically reserve you a table.

Child’s Afternoon Tea
If you've booked adult afternoon tea you can add additional children to the booking (aged up to 12 years old) using this product.

Larder Afternoon Tea Box
[48 HOURS' NOTICE] The Larder Afternoon Tea experience in the comfort of your own home, though you’ll have to dig out your own fancy stand! A selection of rough-cut sandwiches on artisan breads (no dainty finger sandwiches here) plus freshly baked cake bites, and of course there’s scones with clotted cream and jam. Boiling water doesn’t transport too well, so get the kettle on and we’ll provide our top quality British Brew tea bags. If you’re looking for afternoon tea delivery, or collection, you’re at the right place! We use all natural ingredients and the exact selection varies on the day, so we don't offer a menu.
Large group? You may want to look at the Fast Foodie Feasts - there's an afternoon tea option for 6 or 12 guests. It's lower-priced per head than this afternoon tea box as it contains less sandwiches per person, and the sandwiches and cakes are not cut as small.

The price per adult is £19.95 and the minimum order is for 2 people.

DEPOSIT for Afternoon Tea
If you like the look of our Dine-In afternoon tea, but would prefer not to pre-pay in full, please use this product to book your venue, date and time, and pay a £10 per person deposit. Please include adults and children in your total. You will be asked to pay the balance on the day.
Your deposit is refundable at our discretion, however for cancellations less than 3 days before the booking the deposit will not be refunded.
