Join us at the Larder in Wanstead or at Butler's Retreat for a Mother's Day afternoon tea on Sunday 27th March at 3pm. Your afternoon tea includes a variety of home-made cakes plus a selection of rough-cut sandwiches on artisan breads (no dainty finger sandwiches here!). We use all natural ingredients, and of course there's freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam. We'll serve our top quality British Brew tea, or any alternative tea from our lists, or coffee if you prefer.
There are no table cloths and no fancy stands, so if you're looking for a hotel-style 'afternoon tea experience' this might not be for you.
Vegetarian or Halal? We've got you, just let us know in the 'Dietary Requirements' box. Please note we DO NOT offer GF , dairy-free or Vegan afternoon tea.
Ordering for kids? We'll swap our rustic artisan breads for a more child-friendly wholemeal loaf with simple fillings, we know they can be fussy eater sometimes! As for cakes the little ones get exactly the same as you. If you want the children to have the same sandwiches as the adults, please book them as adults. If ordering for one adult plus children, please choose the number of children first (otherwise you won't see the options). If ordering for larger numbers than you can select, just add multiple afternoon teas to your basket.
IMPORTANT: We are serving at 3pm and the cafes close at 5pm. If you wish to come a little later, that's no problem, but we will need to close at 5pm. Also note that our website will let you choose any venue, for any date and any time, however this afternoon tea is only being served at 3pm on the 27th March, at Wanstead or Chingford (Butler's Retreat). The site will also let you choose collection or delivery, however we are not offering delivery on Mother's Day so please choose 'collection' to avoid a delivery charge being added. Any refunds that we need to make due to wrong bookings will have 10% admin fees deducted.
LAST ORDERS: Orders can be made up to 11pm on TUESDAY 22nd March, and cannot be accepted after this time. Please do not book on this site unless you received an email confirming we still have availability for your group size. If you do receive an emailing saying we have room, note that if you don't book straight away we may sell out in the meantime.
